Study Abroad – North Cyprus

A look at North Cyprus:

Cyprus is situated in the northern corner of the Mediterranean, at the meeting point of Europe, Asia and Africa. It shares boarders with Turkey and Greece. In 2004, Cyprus officially became a member of the European Union (EU) and thus essentially became the bridge between Europe, Middle East and the rest of the world. Having emerged as one of the region’s leading business and financial centres, it enjoys competitive advantages in areas such as tourism, consultancy, shipping, telecommunications, banking and insurance. The official language is Turkish and the official currency is Euros. English is also widely spoken as a second language in the country.

Living Expenses:

There are dormitories for the international students who wish to live in the campus of the university they study. In addition, apartments, studio flats are offered in North Cyprus for the students who wish to stay outside of the campus. Basic amount for living and general expenses us between 100-300 Euros monthly. Students who study in Northern Cyprus usually have the opportunity to travel to the United States of America on holidays and work there. The stipend made from work is usually the major source of upkeep for most International Students.
